GREAT FALLS, Mont. - Two University of Providence Argos were named Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Field Athletes of the Week announced Monday.
Gabbi Parini is the women's field athlete while Imhotep Pryor was named men's field athlete for their performances at the Providence Open last Friday.
Parini, a junior from Butte, Mont., is the field athlete of the week. At the University of Providence Open in Great Falls, Mont.; she finished first out of 11 nine jumpers in the long jump with an NAIA-B standard of 5.67 meters. Parini also won the triple jump with a school jump of 10.73 meters.
Pryor, a junior from Long Beach, Calif., is the field athlete of the week. At the University of Providence Open in Great Falls, Mont.; he finished second in the hammer throw with a school-record throw of 53.04 meters. The throw was the best of the NAIA throwers. Pryor also finished fifth in the discus with a toss of 44.50 meters.
The Argos will next compete at the Trudnowski Open Saturday in Helena.
