Argos Travel to Iowa for National Dual Championships

GREAT FALLS, MONT. -- The University of Providence women's wrestling program heads to Cedar Falls, Iowa for the National Dual Meet Championships on Jan. 5-6. The Argos will face #10 Oklahoma City University in their opening matchup at 9am (MST) in the UNI-Dome.  

Last Time Out
The Argos placed second as a team at the North Central Open. #1 sophomore Erin Hikiji defeated three ranked opponents including the #1 ranked wrestler in the NCAA to take home first place for the Argos. Freshman Paige Morales took second place and went 3-1 cruising her way past Kealonie Vega, Alyssa Valdivia, and #7 Tehani Soares of Indiana Tech. The Argos also had two wrestlers place third in #5 senior Sadie Antoque and #7 freshman Alyssa Randles. Randles defeated #14 Cameron Ortiz in her first match of the day to advance to the quarterfinals.

Oklahoma City University
The Stars were ranked #10 in the latest NAIA coaches poll and have nine wrestlers ranked in the top 20 of their weight classes. Among those ranked, Oklahoma City has two wrestlers inside the top three including #1 Avery Ashley at 116.
