HELENA, Mont. – The University of Providence track and field teams competed at Vigilante Stadium in Helena, Mont. throughout the day Friday.

The Argos had two school records broken and one athlete qualify for the NAIA National Championships at the Fighting Saints Open.

Senior Allyson Conner broke her own school record in the Hammer throw on Thursday with 54.42m. That distance is good for an A standard qualification, but Conner had already qualified at A standard for the National Championships last week.

Senior McKenzie Clark also qualified for the NAIA National Championships with a 39.65m Javelin Throw. That distance qualifies her at B standard for the NAIA National Championships after she took home the silver medal in the Javelin last season.

Sophomore Travis Zavala also broke a school record on Friday with his shot put of 15.37m. This distance surpasses his previous record of 15.29m that he set last year.

The Argos will be back in action April 19-20 for the Montana Open. Athletes will be competing throughout the day in Missoula, Mont. at Dornblaser Field.
