GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Senior KC Buday has been selected as a finalist for the Little Sullivan Award presented by the Montana Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). The ceremony is scheduled for May 4 at the DoubleTree in Billings, Mont.

The Little Sullivan Award was patterned after the National AAU Sullivan Award which was first presented in 1930 to the most outstanding athlete at the collegiate or Olympic level in the United States. The Little Sullivan Award is presented to one male and one female athlete who are Montana natives and exemplify athleticism, community service, sportsmanship, amateurism, and academics.

Buday is the second athlete in Argo Athletics history to be nominated for the award after Michael French was nominated in 2011. Buday had a record of 30-4 this season, won his third Cascade Collegiate Conference Championship, and was named an NAIA All-American for the third time after placing third at the NAIA National Championships.

Head coach Steve Komac on Buday's success stated, "KC has meant the world to our program the last few years! His wrestling successes are far bigger than his All-America accomplishments! He has become an amazing leader and ambassador for our program, and he has shown our young athletes the right way to do things that will benefit them, and us, for years to come! We are extremely proud of KC!"
