Missoula, Mont. – The University of Providence track and field teams competed at the Montana Open in Missoula, Mont. at Dornblaser field throughout the day Saturday.

The Argos had another school record broken and added another qualification to the NAIA National Championships this weekend.

Senior Allyson Conner broke her own school record in the Hammer throw with 54.91m. That distance is good for an A standard qualification, but Conner had already qualified at A standard for the National Championships at the Argo Open on 4/4.

Senior McKenzie Clark also qualified for the NAIA National Championships with a 41.94m Javelin Throw. That distance qualifies her at A standard for the NAIA National Championships after she took home the silver medal in the Javelin last season.

The Argos also had junior Tatiana Martinez place first in the discus throw on Saturday. Martinez was the only Argo to place first in their respective event at the Montana Open with many NCAA opponents in the field.

The Argos will be back in action April 25 for the Trudnowski Open. Athletes will be competing throughout the day in Helena, Mont.
