HELENA, Mont. – The University of Providence track and field teams competed at the Trudnowski Open in Helena, Mont. throughout the day Thursday.

The Argos had two school records broken and added another qualification to the NAIA National Championships at Vigilante Stadium this week.

Senior Allyson Conner kicked it off on Wednesday breaking her own school record in the Hammer throw with a first-place distance of 55.03m. That distance is good for an A standard qualification, but Conner had already qualified at A standard for the National Championships at the Argo Open on 4/4.

Conner also qualified in the Shot Put on Thursday placing first with a distance of 13.26m. That distance is good for a B standard qualification which makes Allyson Conner the first Argo track and field athlete to qualify for all three throwing events in the program's history.

Senior Gabbie Parini also set a new school record surpassing her own mark with a 12.89 100M. Parini broke Danielle Keatings record of 13.01 at the Argo Open on 4/4 with 12.92.

The Argos will be back in action May 5-6 for the Frontier Conference Championships. Athletes will be competing throughout the day in Butte, Mont.
