HELENA, Mont. – After placing first in both the Long Jump and the 100M at the Argo Open, senior
Gabbie Parini has been named the Frontier Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week.

Parini is from Butte, Mont. and with her first-place finish in the 100M at 12.92 she broke Danielle Keating's school record of 13.01 from 2010. Parini also placed first in the long jump, coming up 0.34 meters short of the B Standard qualifying mark. Â Â

This is Parini's first Athlete of the Week award this season and the second of her career after taking home the award last season on 4/10/23. Parini is the sixth outdoor women's track & field athlete of the week winner in Argo Athletics history joining
Allyson Conner,
McKenzie Clark,
Jillian Sanchez, Shang Cosby, and Alye Fiell.

Head coach Tony Arntson on Parini's performance stated, "We are very happy for Gabbie to earn this award. She has worked so hard to get past injuries and is always getting better every week. I'm looking forward to the rest of her season!"

The Argos will be back in action April 11 for the Trudnowski Open. Athletes will be competing throughout the day in Helena, Mont.
