BUTTE, Mont. – The University of Providence outdoor track and field teams competed at Montana Tech Spring Series #2 throughout the weekend.

The Argos had a few highlights in senior Avari Batt and sophomore Lauren Cima.
 
Batt threw a distance of 45.21m in the discus for a first-place finish and qualified her at B standard for the NAIA National Championships for the first time in her career.  
 
Cima hit a pair of A standards this weekend with the #1 throw in the NAIA in the hammer throw at 56.33m and followed it up with an A standard in the Shot Put at 14.27m.
 
The Argos also saw junior Logan Nicholson place first in the high jump, senior Shelbey Klein placed first in the javelin, and freshman Jayla Ramberg placed first in the triple jump.

The Argos will be back in action on Saturday, April 18 when they head to Helena, Mont. for the Trudnowski Open.
