KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Providence women's volleyball program moved up one spot to #2 to set a new mark for the highest ranking in program history in the latest NAIA Women's Volleyball Coaches Ratings on Wednesday.

Head coach Arunas Duda stated, "Reaching #2 in the nation is a tremendous honor and the highest ranking in program history. It speaks to the consistency, competitiveness, and culture our group has built. We're proud of how far we've come — and even more excited about where we're going."

The Argos were ranked #3 in previous poll and have since defeated all five Frontier Conference opponents they faced in Montana Tech, Montana Western, MSU-Northern, Rocky Mountain College, and #24 Carroll College to extend their win streak to 20 games. #2 is a new program record for the highest ranking in program history for Argo volleyball.

UP also has earned 10 Frontier Conference Player of the Week awards and two NAIA Player of the Week awards so far this season. Junior Cabry Taylor was named the Frontier Conference and the NAIA Defender of the Week twice, while senior Bella Thompson has earned six Frontier Conference Setter of the Week's and one NAIA Setter of the week, junior Kyra Saiers earned the Frontier Conference Defender of the Week, and junior Martyna Fiedler was named the Frontier Conference Attacker of the Week.

The Argos will be back in action Friday, Oct. 17 when they head to Valley City, N.D. Game time is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. (MST) versus Valley City State.
