DES MOINES, Iowa -- The University of Providence men's wrestling program competed at the Grand View Open throughout the day Saturday.
The Argos had three athletes reach the placement matches at one of the biggest and toughest wrestling events of the year in seniors
Kobi Johnson,
Aden Graves, and redshirt sophomore
Brendan Lockart.
Lockart went 4-2 defeating Connor Sintobin 12-1, Logan Davidson 3-0, Peter Kolomlets by medical forfeit, but fell to Jeremiah Larson 14-12 to finish in fourth place.
Graves finished the Grand View Open 4-2 defeated Jeff Dunasky 3-0, Cullen Koedam 20-1 and 12-5, Devin Weber 15-4 but fell on the backside to finish in sixth.
Johnson finished his day 2-1 defeating Travis Reidy 6-1 and Mikey Doeer 4-1 before medical forfeiting out of the tournament to finish in sixth.
The Argos will be back in action on Sunday, Nov. 23 when they head to Spokane, Wash. Wrestlers will begin at 10:00 a.m. (MST) in the Spokane Open.
