GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's wrestling team hosts the Battle of the Rockies on Dec. 5-6 in Great Falls Mont. Duals will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday and the Tournament will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday in the McLaughlin Center.
 
Last Time Out
The Argos had four athletes crowned champions and four others reached placement matches at the Spokane Open on Nov. 23.  Freshman Diesel Thompson, junior Pig Hobbs, junior Jalen Vladic, and senior Brady Ellison all placed first, freshman Myles Christen finished second, Brady Armstrong, Koen Shigemoto, in fourth, and Mason Aiken in sixth.
 
Rankings
The Argos were ranked #14 in the latest NAIA Top 25 poll with 7 individual wrestlers ranked in the top 25 of their respective weight classes in #1 Pig Hobbs (157), #3 Sawyer Hobbs (184), #13 Brendan Lockart (197), #13 Ethan DeRoche (285),  #19 Jalen Vladic (165), #22 Cade White (149), and #23 Blaze Sumiye (165).
 
Battle of the Rockies Duals
There will be three mats going on Friday in the McLaughlin center with three rounds of duals. The Argos will wrestle Idaho State at 1:00 p.m., North Idaho College at 2:30 p.m., and Snow College at 4:00 p.m.
 
Battle of the Rockies
The Argos welcome #25 MSU-Northern, North Idaho College, Snow College, University of Alberta, Lethbridge University, University of Calgary, among others on Saturday at the McLaughlin Center.
 
Doane Open
The Argos are also sending 10 wrestlers to compete at the Doane Open on Saturday in #19 Jalen Vladic, #22 Cade White, #23 Blaze Sumiye, Diesel Thompson, Boden Banta, Na'u McBrayer, Irish Furthmyre, and Brady Ellison.
