REDDING, Calif. – The University of Providence men's wrestling team had seven wrestlers advance to the semifinals at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships on Friday.

Abel Nava Jr., and junior
Sawyer Hobbs all advanced to the semifinals. Johnson, Graves, Sumiye, Hall and Nava. Jr. all received first round byes and then won their quarterfinal matches to advance to the semifinals.
Johnson defeated Jack Eylar 11-8, Graves beat #12 Logan Hancey 15-1, Sumiye defeated #16 William Schwertscharf 9-5, Hall pinned Michael Fox in 2:06, and Nava Jr. teched German Munoz 18-3. By advancing to the semifinals,
Aden Graves has secured his qualification to the NAIA National Championships due to 157 having seven allocations.
Vladic and Hobbs each went 2-0 on Friday to advance to the semifinals. Vladic teched Isaias Rodriguez 17-2 before defeating Colton Silva 12-1 in the quarterfinals and Hobbs made quick work of his opponents pinning Devin Ito in 1:29 and Bryant Bartlett in 1:23.
The Argos will be back in action tomorrow for Championship Day at the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament in Redding, Calif. Wrestlers will begin at 11:00 a.m. (MST) at the Redding Civic Auditorium.
