GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence indoor track and field program heads to Gainesville, Florida for the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships.
The Argos are sending two athletes to compete at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in freshman
Lauren Cima and sophomore
Kelsey Stensland-Plymale.
Cima qualified at B Standard in the Shot Put at the Stacy Dragila Invitational with the second-best throw in program history at 13.55m.
Stensland-Plymale received an at-large bid to the NAIA National Championships in the 1 mile after breaking the program record at the Stacy Dragila Invitational with a time of 5:16.35.
Kelsey will compete in the 1 mile at 11:45 a.m. (EST) on Friday, Feb. 28 and Lauren will throw the shot put at 11:30 a.m. (EST) on Saturday, March 1
st.
