MISSOULA, Mont. – The University of Providence track and field teams competed at the Montana Open throughout the day Saturday.

The Argos had a few highlights in freshman Lauren Cima qualifying at A standard in the hammer throw with a distance of 54.26m. UP also had sophomore Kelsey Stensland-Plymale set a new program record in the 1500M with a first-place time of 4:45.31.  

In the last steeplechase of the season the Argos also had a few place in the top five in sophomore Zoran LaFrombois placing third in the Frontier Conference and 20th in the NAIA and freshman Savannah Ivins placed fifth. 

The Argos will be back in action on May 4-5 when they head to Helena, Mont. for the Frontier Conference Championships. Athletes will be competing throughout the day at Lockwood High School.
