Lauren Cima Places First at Frontier Conference Championships

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence track and field teams competed in the Hammer Throw to open the Frontier Conference Championships Thursday afternoon.  

Freshman Lauren Cima was the highlight for the Argos taking first place and winning her first career Conference Championship with a distance of 52.60m.
 
The Argos also had two others earn all-conference accolades in senior Tatiana Martinez and junior Josh Golemon.
 
Martinez placed second in the hammer throw at 47.56m which was over five meters more than third place. Golemon finished in third with a throw of 51.10.
 
The Argos will be back in action Sunday, May 4 and Monday, May 5 when they head to East Helena for the remainder of the Frontier Conference Championships.

4th – Adam Cearley – 47.69m
5th – Jullian Williams – 47.46m
