GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's wrestling program dominated MSU-Northern defeating the Lights 31-10 Tuesday night.
Following a forfeit to open the dual from MSU-Northern at 125, the Argos kept the momentum going with #24
Boden Banta bumping up to 133 and defeating Kolten Powers 13-5.
The Argos would keep the pressure on at 141 with junior
Na'u McBrayer defeating Caleb Morales 14-5 and junior
Jesse Anson pinned Jackson Syron in 2:59 to put UP ahead 20-0.
At 157 the Argos picked up their fifth straight win with #16
Irish Furthmyre defeating #25 Ryan Graves 11-6 to push the lead out to 23.
Following a loss at 165, #11
Brady Ellison put the Argos back in the win column with a 4-1 sudden victory win over #21 Orion Thievierge, and freshman
Gabe Finley defeated AJ Harris 18-1 at 285 to secure the Argos 31-10 victory.
The Argos will be back in action Jan. 23-24 when they head to Marshall, Mo. Wrestlers will be competing all day on Friday and Saturday at the Missouri Valley Invite.
