MARSHALL, Mo. -- The University of Providence men's wrestling program competed at the Missouri Valley Invitational throughout the day on Saturday.

The Argos had two athletes reach the placement matches at the Missouri Valley Inviational in #11 Kobi Johnson and #16 Irish Furthmyre.

After advancing to the semifinals on Friday, Furthmyre went 1-2 on Saturday to finish in fifth place, while Johnson finished 3-1 defeating Kane Bryson 8-1, Patrick Jones 11-2, #13 Braydon Pacheco 7-4 in the fifth-place match.

The Argos also saw freshman Boden Banta and Anthony Nava make it to day two but fell short of the placement matches.

The Argos will be back in action on Friday, Jan. 30 when they host #6 Southern Oregon. Wrestlers will begin at 6:00 p.m. (MST) in Great Falls, Mont.
