Matt Ball said. "When we're out recruiting, being academically-sound is a big part of what we look for. It tells us a little bit about their work ethic. It's a huge part."
The women's soccer team had seven players receive the honor:
Soraya Alfaro (Exercise Science),
Adri Contreras (Criminal Justice),

"This academic achievement is really important for these young ladies," head coach
Brian Clarke said. "I hope it shows to the players that they can do what is essentially two full-time jobs. Being a student and being an athlete is not an easy thing to do at the collegiate level, especially with the way we travel. Kudos to them. It's an attribute for their dedication, hard work, being able to prioritize, and time manage."
