WHITEFISH, Mont. – The Frontier Conference announced on Wednesday their Men's Basketball All-Conference awards with Jalen Shepard being named Newcomer of the Year and Jaxen Hashley earned Co-Freshmen of the Year honors alongside Carroll College's Shamrock Campbell.

Shepard was also named to First Team All-Conference, Brandon Cotton earned Second Team All-Conference, and Hashley received Honorable Mention All-Conference.

All three who received all-conference recognition competed in their first season with the Argos.

Shepard, a senior from Las Vegas, Nevada, has been a valuable asset for the Argos this season, doing work on both sides of the court. He has averaged 16.77 points, 4.80 assists, 4.77 rebounds, and 2.23 steals per contest this season.

Cotton, a junior from Tacoma, Washington, was the Argos leading scorer throughout the 2018-19 season. Cotton scored a total of 523 points this season, averaging 17.43 per contest. He added 3.30 assists and 2.70 rebounds per game as well.

Hashley, a freshman from Kalispell, Montana, had an impressive freshman campaign in route to Co-Freshman of the Year and All-Frontier Honorable Mention. A transfer from Montana State, in which he played football, averaged 11 points, in addition to 8.65 boards, 1.54 steals, and 1.27 assists per game over the season.

Jacob Wetzel was named the Argos Champion of Character.

Wetzel, a junior from Great Falls, Montana, was the Argos 6th man this season, providing valuable offense of the bench. Wetzel played in all 30 games this season for the Argos, averaging seven points per game, scoring double-digits in eight contests, while also adding 2.70 rebounds per game.

The NAIA Men's Basketball Tournament bracket reveal is on Wednesday, March 13 at 4 p.m. MT. The Argos will look for an at-large bid to continue their season in the NAIA Tournament. The bracket reveal will be livestreamed through the NAIA's Facebook page.
