Steve Keller on Friday.
McKinney, a sophomore guard and native of Great Falls, Montana, graduated from Great Falls High School and comes to the Argos from Dawson Community College. During his junior year, McKinney helped the Bison of Great Falls High School to a 17-8 recording, finishing fourth at state. He averaged eight points and three assists per contest, while shooting 38 percent from beyond the arc. At the Montana Senior Classic in Billings, McKinney won the 3-point shooting contest, while competing against all of the best seniors from around the Treasure State.
During the 2018-19 season, McKinney spent the year in Glendive as a member of Dawson Community College's men's basketball team. As a Buc, McKinney shot over 36 percent from the floor and had similar success from beyond the arc, knocking down 35 percent from 3-point range in over 10 minutes per contest.
"We are very excited to welcome Hunter back to Great Falls and to the Argo basketball program," expressed head coach Keller. "Hunter is a bigger Montana guard that can really shoot the three. We look forward to watching his progress in our league."
