Four new PRs Cap Argo Track and Field's Evening in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – Argo track and field competed in the Whitworth Twilight Meet on Thursday with an extremely good showing as four new PRs were set during the competition.
 
Peyton Jones highlighted the meet for the Argos as he claimed a 7th-place finish in the 1,500-meter with a season-best and new personal record for the distance, clocking a time of 4:09.49.
 
Conor McGee also competed in the 1,500-meter with Jones, finishing 14th with a time of 4:26.54 to set a new personal best as well.
 
In the 800-meter, Brenden Thompson ran a 2:15.86 to place 11th and set a new personal record in the distance as well.
 
On the women's side, Kita Weingart led the Argos in the women's 800-meter, finishing 10th with a 2:44.91, narrowly missing her personal best in the distance.
 
However, Makayla Cook finished right behind her in 11th as she crossed the line with a new personal best in the 800-meter, clocking a time of 2:57.82.
 
Up Next
The Argos will head back east on I-90 as they travel to Bozeman, Montana, to compete in the Montana State University Open on Saturday, April 20.
