KANSAS CITY, MO. – The University of Providence men's basketball team is ranked 11
th in the latest
NAIA Division 1 National Poll. The Argos were previously ranked #8.
Lewis-Clark State (21-1, 9-1), who have defeated the Argos (18-4, 6-4) twice this year, is ranked #5. Carroll (16-6, 7-3), whom the Argos have split two games with, is ranked #17. Montana Tech (14-7, 6-4) wasn't ranked in the Top 25 but did receive votes.
"If you used today's rankings, the Frontier Conference would have four teams in the National Tournament," head coach
Steve Keller said. "That would be a great accomplishment for our league. It goes to show how much respect our league is getting across the nation."
The Argos will travel to Billings Thursday evening to take on Rocky Mountain (6-13, 1-9) at 7:30 p.m. They'll return to Great Falls Saturday evening to face off against Montana Western (3-7, 10-11).
