Argos Move Up 1 Spot in National Ranking

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – After racing out to a 4-0 start to the season, the University of Providence men's basketball team moved up one spot to #13 in the latest NAIA National Poll. The Argos are the only Frontier Conference team that is ranked or receiving votes to be ranked in the poll.

The Argos (4-0, 4-0) opened their season last Monday, defeating Montana Tech in a pair of road games. They continue that run this past weekend, defeating Carroll both on Saturday and on Sunday.

"We're moving up," head coach Steve Keller said. "We haven't played very many games, so not a lot of people know a lot about us. But we're getting some respect and moving up."

Keller is pleased with how his team has looked in the first four games, especially considering the team has only been practicing together since mid-December. He expects them to continue to improve as the season goes on.

"We're still learning how to play with one another," he said. "We've survived four games against four quality opponents. I'm pleased with our progress but we have to keep working and get better every single day."

The Argos will look to stay undefeated this weekend against Rocky Mountain College (1-3, 1-3). They will take on the Battlin' Bears at 5:00 p.m. Saturday evening and again at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.
