GREAT FALLS, Mont. – After beating Montana State-Northern in the team's home opener Wednesday night, the #9 University of Providence volleyball team will have to refocus quickly when they take on Montana Western Friday night. First serve will take place at 7:00 p.m.

There was a ton of energy in the McLaughlin Center Wednesday night as the Argos (15-2, 2-0) played the team's first home game with fans in 684 days. The night also featured a special pregame presentation as the team unveiled their championship banner for winning the Frontier Conference Championship and earning a bid to the NAIA National Championship last season.

"I think it's going to take some intentional refocus today," head coach Arunas Duda said. "It certainly feels like last night was a Friday and today was a Saturday. There was a lot of emotion last night. For us, the biggest thing is to treat it like any other week. We need to reset, start scouting our opponent, go through our typical pregame practice. We need to hit the reset button a bit."

The Argos will take on the Bulldogs of Montana Western (7-6, 0-1), who the team has previously played at the Frontier Conference Preseason Tournament two weekends ago.

"They're an incredibly feisty team," Duda said. "They have lots of energy, really good defense and they got some hitters that can definitely put the ball away. I anticipate that tomorrow that they're not going to give up as many points at serve receive. They're going to really push us defensively."

The Argos are on a roll however, with last night's win marking eight straight wins for the squad. The Argos are one of the top defensive teams in the nation, ranking fourth in the nation in digs per set (19.4) and 15th in blocks per set (2.35).

The team will hope that defense, along with the energy from Wednesday, will carry over during the match on Friday.

"The emotion was so high last night," Duda said. "The energy in that gym was amazing. I really hope that we get that continued support from the community. That made a huge difference. Everyone in that gym had a good time."
