WHITEFISH, Mont. – 13 players from the University of Providence volleyball team were named to the Frontier Academic All-Conference Volleyball team Friday afternoon, the conference announced on Friday.

Kylee Altmiller (biology), Allex Boyd (biology), Adysen Burns (health and physical education), Bailey Christensen (exercise science), Taylor Christensen (elementary education), Cydney Finberg-Roberts (sports management), Cassi Kopsa (criminal justice), Sacha Legros (occupational leadership management), Sadie Lott (biology), Brook Luly (biology), Kate Murack (exercise science), Zoe Naugle (biology) and Jenna Thorne (exercise science) were all recognized by the conference.

"I'm incredibly pleased and proud of this group for accomplishing that," head coach Arunas Duda said. "They are everything that we want an Argo to be. It's definitely an intentional recruiting strategy. It's definitely something that we focus a lot of our attention on. We want our girls to be good, whole, well-rounded people when they leave us."

To earn recognition to the Academic All-Conference team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in standing and maintain a 3.25 GPA.

The Argos had the most members on the team of the six teams in the conference. Duda believes that having student-athletes in the program that excel in the classroom translates to on-the-court success.

"They're very driven, very goal-oriented," Duda said. "That directly correlates to what we're trying to do on the volleyball court. If you find kids that can have fun together and also be dedicated to being successful in the classroom, they'll be extremely prepared to dominate every aspect of life after they graduate."

The Argos are coming off the most successful year in program history. The team finished the season 28-3 and made it to the quarterfinals of the NAIA National Tournament for the first time in school history. The team broke last year's record by winning 21 consecutive games, including going undefeated in conference play en route to winning a Frontier Conference regular season championship and Frontier Conference Tournament Championship.

"We have such great kids," Duda said. "That's what I say when people congratulate us on the success we had this year. It's a phenomenal group of girls that I'm so proud of and am so happy to work with. With our recruiting class this year, I think it's going to be another group like that. We're excited and really proud of the group we brought together."
