GREAT FALLS, Mont. - For the second time this season, the University of Providence softball team travels to Caldwell, Idaho for Cascade Collegiate Conference action as the Argos play at No. 12-ranked College of Idaho. Weather forced the Argos to play a home series against Eastern Oregon in February, now Providence will be the road team against the Yotes. The series will be affected by weather as instead of playing both Friday and Saturday, the teams will instead play a triple-header Friday, all games counting in CCC play, with the non-conference game being canceled.

ON THE ARGOS: The Argos are coming off a 1-3 road trip at Bushnell last weekend, losing the three conference games including a heartbreaking 13-12 walk off loss before pulling out a 9-7 victory in the finale...Taylor Mathews (Sr., Helena, Mont.) and Macy Mangold (Jr., Lewistown, Mont.) lead UP with a .333 batting average....Mathews had six RBI in the walk off loss to the Beacons and now has a team-leading 11 runs batted in. She has eight doubles while scoring 11 runs...Mangold crushed a grand slam in the victory at Bushnell and leads the Argos with two dingers and has eight RBI on the year...Providence hits .241 as a team...In the circle, the Argos carry a team ERA of 8.99 into weekend play...Carter Thornton (Sr., Downey, Idaho) is 1-6 on the season with an ERA of 8.45...Jaden Williams (Sr., Sandy, Utah) is 0-5 with an 8.86 ERA and Deven Creech (Jr., Billings, Mont.) is 1-4 overall and carries a 9.43 ERA to Caldwell.
