GREAT FALLS, MONT. – The University of Providence women's soccer team kicks off their season on Aug. 9 with an exhibition game against the University of Calgary at Argo Field. This upcoming season the Argos will look to their five seniors on the roster to lead the program.
Reilyn Davis is the captain of the Argos and is the epitome of a leader. Last season Davis played all over the field and when the Argos needed a keeper she jumped in the net as well. Statistically Reilyn led the team in goalkeeping with 2.24 goals against average.
Hannah Eddy is a 5-foot-2 forward with an extreme amount of talent and is expected to make a big jump in her senior season. Hannah played in all 15 games last year with a .625 shot on goal percentage.
Grace Hipke has been the anchor of the midfield as one of the most technically sound players for the Argos. Among returning players Grace had the fifth most shots last season and is looking to build on that this year.
Julia Tilton is a 5-foot-8 defender coming off her best season where she was one of three Argos to start in every game. The Argos will be looking to their senior defender Tilton to lead the backline this season.
Tara Patel, reigning from England, brings a passion for the game and high soccer IQ to the Argos. As someone who sees the game very well Tara's composure and passing accuracy will help the Argos maintain possession in the midfield.
The Argos will begin conference play on Sept. 15 when they visit Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont. They will return home for back-to-back contests on Sept. 22 and 23 versus Multnomah University and Warner Pacific University. Both home games will be played at Argo Field and start at 3:30 p.m.
