GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence hockey program fell to Montana State University 8-3 Saturday night.
The Bobcats scored seven minutes into the game when a wrist shot from the wing went short side to give Montana State a 1-0 lead.
A few minutes later the Bobcats would score again on a chip shot over the goalkeeper's glove, but UP would respond on the powerplay when freshman

The Bobcats would add a goal on the 5-3 with six minutes remaining in the period, but a few minutes later the shot by sophomore
Jamal Kalaf deflected off the goalie right to junior
Colby Friedrich who pushed it into the back of the net to make it 3-2 heading into the break.
The Argos opened the scoring in the second period when on the power play junior
Adam Husli found sophomore
AJ Belanger whose one timer went top corner to tie the game at three.
Midway through the period the Bobcats retook the lead off a wrist shot that snuck past the goaltender, and with one minute remaining in the period Montana State added another goal when the puck found its way passed the screened goaltender making it 5-3 heading into the break.
The Bobcats would score three goals in the final period, and despite a few late chances from UP, the Argos fell to Montana State 8-3.
The Argos will be back in action Thursday, Oct. 24 when they travel to Devils Lake, N.D. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. (MST) versus Lake Region State. Â Â
