BOTTINEAU, N.D. – The University of Providence hockey defeated the Dakota College at Bottineau 3-1 Thursday night.
The Argos (6-4) jumped in front first when junior
Adam Husli won the faceoff in the offensive zone and passed it back to freshman
Jamal Shaw whose wrist shot found the back of the net to put UP ahead 1-0.
The Lumberjacks scored to start the second period, but with five minutes remaining on the Argo power play junior
Colby Friedrich found sophomore
Chavez Constant who's one-time beat the goaltender to make it 2-1.
With under a minute remaining in the period UP had a two on one break where senior
Tobias Robinson found freshman
Kage Yellowfly to put UP ahead by two going into the third period.
Both sides would have chances throughout the period, but neither were able to capitalize as the Argos defeated the Dakota College at Bottineau 3-1.
The Argos will be back in action tomorrow for another matchup in Bottineau, N.D. Puck drop is scheduled for Noon (MST) versus the Dakota College of Bottineau. Â Â Â
