BUTTE, Mont. – The University of Providence hockey program dominated Montana Tech 10-2 Friday night.
The Argos (11-5) scored the first goal of the game three minutes in when freshman
Jamal Shaw found freshman
William Clark who beat the goaltender for his first goal of the season. Â
The Argos would score again two minutes later when freshman
Kaden Bolter hit
Adam Husli's whose wrist shot found the back of the net to put UP ahead 2-0.
UP scored another four goals the rest of the period from sophomores
AJ Belanger,
Chavez Constant,
Jamal Kalaf, and Bolter to put UP in front by six heading into the break.
The Orediggers scored midway through the second and the Argos would not capitalize on their chances as UP went into the break leading 6-1. Â
Montana Tech would cut the lead to four to open the third period but UP would resond with goals from Kalaf, Shaw, Bolter, and Husli to secure the victory for UP 10-2.
The Argos will be back in action Saturday Nov. 16 when they host Montana Tech. Game time is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Great Falls, Mont. Â Â
