GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence softball program heads to Billings, Mont. for a pair of contests versus MSU-Billings. The first pitch for game one is scheduled for 1 p.m. and game two at 3 p.m. Â
Last Time Out
The Argos went 2-2 on their trip to the Bubble Invite in Minot, N.D. UP won their first game of the year defeating NDSCS 10-3 and picked up a 10-2 (6) victory over Dakota Wesleyan. Seniors
Gracie Fleming and
Azia Umphrey led the way with three RBI's each in the victories and graduate transfer
Madi Moore and senior
Deven Creech also picked up complete game victories on the mound.Â
Season Leaders
Moore is the Argos leading hitter thus far batting .500 with five stolen bases through four games. Junior
Sydnee Weber has been the biggest run producer for UP driving in six runs so far this season and Creech has been the anchor on the mound totaling 14 innings with an ERA of 3.00 and a WHIP of 1.36.
MSU-Billings
The Argos are 2-2 in their last four matchups with the Yellowjackets with their last win coming by way of a 7-3 road victory in 2015. MSU-Billings are 1-5 so far this season and are coming off an 8-0 loss to Azusa Pacific University their last time out.
