Madi Moore Named CCC Pitcher and Player of the Week

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – After leading the Argos to a 4-0 weekend versus Corban University, graduate transfer Madi Moore has been named the Cascade Collegiate Conference Softball Player and Pitcher of the week.    

Madi is from Great Falls, Mont. and started off her weekend with a complete game no-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts. In her second outing she recorded her first save, going three innings and striking out all nine outs. In the last game of the series, Madi threw another complete game striking out 14 to finish the weekend with 15 innings, 34 strikeouts, a 0.93 ERA, a 0.67 WHIP, and 15.87 K/7.

Offensively, Moore was 10-12 at the plate for a batting average of .833 this weekend. Madi also scored eight runs and stole eight bases over four games to put her batting average at .586 for the season and she is also 12-12 on stolen base attempts.

This is the first CCC Player of the Week award in Moore's career and she is the first honoree this season for the Argos. Madi is the third player in Argo Athletics history to be named player of the week joining Bailey Henderson and Kristina George and she is the first player ever to be named both the Player and Pitcher of the week at the same time.

Head coach Joey Egan on Madi's performance stated, "Madi had a great weekend for us not only on the mound but also at the plate."

The Argos will be back in action March 8-9 for a pair of doubleheaders at #1 Oregon Tech. First-pitch on Friday is scheduled for Noon (MST) in Klamath Falls, Ore.
