Box Score 4 VANCOUVER, British Columbia - - The University of Providence softball program fell 8-0 and 9-1 Saturday afternoon.
In game one the Argos started the game with back-to-back base hit bunts from junior
Ryen Palmer and graduate transfer
Madi Moore, but the Argos were unable to push a runner across in the top of the first.
The Thunderbirds would score eight unanswered runs the rest of the way, and although the Argos scattered seven hits, UP fell 8-0 to UBC in the opening contest.
In game two the Argos pressured early when seniors
Macy Mangold and
Azia Umphrey reached base to lead off the top of the second, but UP could not drive in the first runs of the game.
The Thunderbirds would score eight runs in the bottom of the second, and despite a successful double-steal from Palmer and junior
Sydnee Weber, the Argos fell 9-1 in game two.

The Argos will be back in action April 25-26 for a pair of doubleheaders versus Carroll College. First pitch on Thursday is scheduled for 2 p.m. (MST).
