CORVALLIS, Ore. – After leading the Argos to a 2-1 victory over Dakota Wesleyan, sophomore Santi Jaramillo Ortiz has been named the Cascade Collegiate Offensive Player of the Week.  

Ortiz is from Bogotá, Colombia and scored his first goal as an Argo in the 89th minute versus the Tigers to secure the Argos 2-1 victory. Santi also had two shots in the Argos game versus Jamestown. 

This is the first CCC Offensive Player of the Week award this season for the Argos and the first since Jose Vasquez took home the award on 9/25/23. This is the first time in Santi's career he has been named the CCC Offensive Player of the Week, and it is the first time in program history that the Argos won both the Conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week at the same time.

Head coach Will Hander on Ortiz's performance stated, "Santiago has put in a lot of work over the spring season and summer so it is nice to see it pay off. I'm very proud of Santiago for all his hard work and for receiving this honor."
