GREAT FALLS, Mont, -- Head coach
Arunas Duda has announced the addition of seven players that will be attending the University of Providence and playing volleyball for the Argos. They join 14 total returners and 11 who played at the national tournament last season.
"We are really excited about this recruiting class. We were able to secure some talented freshmen early in the cycle that have the ability to come in and push our talented group of returners. With the addition of two transfers this semester, we have added extra size, toughness, and proven winners to our group. One common theme in this recruiting class is the amount of state and conference champions we are bringing in, reinforcing the culture and intangibles it takes to win at any level. Very excited to see what this group will all be able to contribute when we hit the floor once again."
Four-year College Transfers
Kiyana Faupula – 5-11 – MB – Nicolaus, Calif. – Feather River College / San Jose State
Faupula played in eleven matches for San Jose State last season. Prior to her time for the Spartans, she averaged 1.89 K/S with a .347 H% and 0.88 blocks per set at Feather River College where she helped them win a state championship her freshman year. She was also part of the All Norcal Region Team her sophomore year.
Coach Duda on Kiyana
"Kiyana is a very talented player who is quick pin to pin, jumps extremely well, and adds to our team maturity and culture. She had a lot of success at the JUCO level with coach Sarah Ritchie at FRC and was highly recruited by several D1's, so we are thrilled to have her join our program and expect her to contribute at a high level."
Junior College Transfers
Liv Marshall – 6-0 – OH – Lehi, UT. – Skyridge HS / Snow College
Marshall played in twenty-six matches for Snow College last season. She averaged 2.77 K/S her sophomore year and 2.82 K/S her freshman year. She was also part of the Region 18 All Region Team and helped Snow College finish #19 on the NJCAA D1 Final ranking.
Coach Duda on Liv
"One of the items on our recruiting wish list was to add another outside hitter with the ability to terminate the ball, elevate well, and be tough at the net, and Liv is exactly that. The fact that we get to work with her all semester will only help her and our team this fall."
