GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence softball program hosts #2 Oregon Tech Saturday and Sunday for the CCC home opener. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (MST) and 3:00 p.m. (MST) on Saturday, and 11:00 p.m. (MST) and 1:00 p.m. (MST) on Sunday.

The Argos went 3-1 in a four-game series with Corban University to open CCC play. Following a split on day one, the Argos won the final two games of the four-game stint 4-3 and 15-12. Senior
Sydney Wilting led the way batting .461 at the plate with four RBIs and sophomore
Ashley Mitchell pitched 9.2 innings striking out seven batters and allowing only four hits on her way to two wins and the first save of her career.

The Owls were ranked #2 in the latest NAIA Poll after starting the season 9-3 and are coming off a 5-1 victory over #14 Eastern Oregon their last time out. The Argos are 1-9 in their last 10 matchups versus Oregon Tech including a sweep in their most recent meeting in Oregon last year.
