GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence has announced the hiring of Dalon Parker as the next Head Coach of the Argos men's soccer program.
Parker stated, "I'm very excited to be stepping into the head coaching position at the University of Providence! Argo Athletics is a place where I can help bring success, develop more traditions and be a part of helping these young men become excellent ambassadors for the University of Providence on and off the field."
Parker was the head men's and women's soccer coach at Multnomah University for the last seven season prior to Jessup closing all athletics on the Multnomah campus. Parker finished his last three seasons 21-27-5 and advanced to the Cascade Collegiate Conference Postseason Tournament for the first time in program history.
In his time at the helm of the men's program at Multnomah, Parker coached 11 athletes who earned CCC All-Conference accolades and 67 athletes who were named academic All-Conference. Prior to Multnomah, Parker won four consecutive SWL titles at Durango High School in Colorado at produced the highest-grade point average in the state three years in a row (2014-2016).Â
Parker played both soccer and basketball at Dallas Christian College, serving as a team captain while earning Defensive Player of the Year and All-Regional honors in soccer while leading his team to an ACCA Final Four appearance. In hoops, he was a two-time NCCAA All-American, Defensive Player of the Year, and Southwest Conference All-Regional honors. He led DCC to the NCCAA national championship and is the school record holder for points and rebounds in a game. He is a 2010 graduate of Dallas Christian with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.
