Box Score 2 HELENA, Mont. -- The University of Providence softball program fell to Carroll College 2-1 and 9-1 Thursday afternoon.

In game one the Fighting Saints (18-23) opened the scoring with two runs in the bottom of the first to take a 2-0 lead.

It was a pitchers dual throughout the contest with freshman
Tehneson Ehnes throwing three innings with zero earned runs, freshman
Nikki Kendall threw two scoreless innings, and
Ashley Mitchell did not allow a hit in her one inning of work.

The Argos were only able to push one run across versus Venner as she threw all seven giving up zero earned runs and striking out eight as UP fell to Carroll 2-1.

In game two the Argos pushed the first run across when junior
Jaden Ruiz hit an RBI single to left field scoring senior
Sydnee Weber from third.

The Fighting Saints answered, scoring three runs in the first and five runs in the second, and despite hits from Weber and freshman
Ella Galloway, UP fell to Carroll 9-1.
