Volleyball Earns AVCA Academic Award

LEXINGTON, Kent. – The University of Providence volleyball program has been awarded the AVCA Team Academic Award for maintaining a 3.3 GPA throughout the 2024-2025 season. The Argos had a 3.64 GPA as a team.

AVCA CEO Dr. Jaime Gordon stated, "It is very exciting to see that the record-setting, on-court successes during the 2024-25 season have extended to the classroom," says AVCA CEO Jaime Gordon. "The fact that more programs earned the Team Academic Award than ever before is evidence of how committed our coaches are when it comes to helping their players reach their goals as both students and athletes."

Chief of Staff to the President Kylie Carranza on the recognition stated, "Congratulations to our University of Providence women's volleyball team on receiving the AVCA Team Academic Award. Achieving a 3.64 GPA is no small feat, and we're grateful for Coach Arunas's longstanding leadership in helping our student-athletes live out the values of academic excellence, athletic veracity, and our institution's mission every day."
 This is the 11th AVCA Team Academic Award under the tutelage of head coach Arunas Duda.
