Argos Head to Dickinson for Frontier Conference Tournament

GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence softball program heads to Dickinson, N.D. for the Frontier Conference Tournament. UP will face Mayville State at 2:00 p.m. (MST) on Thursday in the quarterfinals.

Last Time Out
The Argos clinched the #2 seed in the Frontier Conference with an 8-3 victory over Valley City State. Junior Tehneson Ehnes also earned her third straight Frontier Conference Player of the Week award after batting .500 with 14 RBIs over six games.

Stat Leaders
Junior Kasidy Yeoman is the Argos leading hitter thus far batting .463 which is first in the Frontier Conference. UP also has two other hitters in the top 10 in batting average in freshman Aleana Aionaaka in 6th at .410 and junior Tehneson Ehnes in 10th at .402. Ehnes leads the conference in RBIs with 67 and is currently fifth in the NAIA while junior Alix Bishop leads the conference in home runs with 12 and is tied for 18th in the NAIA. On the mound junior Ashley Mitchell and sophomore Madison Moultray have led the way throwing a combined 186.2 innings and tallying 18 wins.  

Mayville State
The Comets ended the regular season with a record of 15-30 which placed them as the #7 seed in the Frontier Conference Tournament. The Argos are 13-1 in their history versus Mayville State and 5-0 so far this season.    

Frontier Conference Tournament
The Argos earned the #2 seed in the Frontier Conference Tournament after finishing the regular season 27-22 overall and 19-9 in conference play. The schedule for the Frontier Conference Tournament on April 30 through May 3 is as follows.
