GREAT FALLS, Mont. – No. 18 Argo hockey picked up their first-ever double-digit victory on Saturday as they defeated the No. 9 Eastern Washington Eagles 11-0.
Six different Argos found the net as the Argos held the Eagles scoreless and defeated them by double-digits.
Kyler Mack led all scorers as he netted a hat trick, scoring two in the second and one in the third period. Teammates

Jeron Hirschfeld, and
Hunter Borst all netted two scores each in the contest.
The Argos got things rolling in the first as Larson netted the Argos first score within the first five minutes of play, 1-0. Felt tallied the Argos second goal of the period at the seven-minute mark to give the Argos a two-point advantage. In the final minute of the period, Hirschfeld connected during a power play to give the Argos lead some cushion headed into the first intermission, 3-0.
The first five minutes of the second period was quiet, but Borst got things started as he netted a score in the 13-minute mark to put the Argos up by four, 4-0. Mack tallied his first score of the match slightly over two minutes later to give the Argos a 5-0 advantage. At the eight-minute mark, Larson notched his second goal of the game on a power play to push the lead to 6-0. Mack tallied a second score of the period as the Argos took a 7-0 lead with seven minutes left in the second. Less than a minute later, Hirschfeld tacked on another one to put the lead to eight, 8-0. Borst tallied the Argos last score of the period at the four-minute mark to put the Argos in a nine-point advantage headed into the final 20 minutes, 9-0.
Mack opened the final period as he completed his hat trick to put the Argos up by double digits at the 17-minute mark.
Dawson Smith notched his first goal of the contest at the 14-minute mark to give the Argos their eleventh score, which would eventually prove to close out the match, 11-0.

The Argos will take nearly a month off for Christmas Break before they will return to the ice on a road trip to take on the Dakota College at Bottineau Lumberjacks on January 5 and 6.
