Men's Hockey suffer 1st loss

Argos look to rebound

Great Falls, Mont.- A cold start was the demise of the University of Providence Men's Ice Hockey team as they fell behind 3-0 in the first period Friday night. "We came out flat at the start and never did recover from that," said Head Coach Jeff Heimel.

Argos, Will Wright, scored his 1st goal of the season, but the Argos fell to Minot 6-1. Minot had over 50 shots on goal compared to 18 for UP. The Argos did not take advantage of the 5 power plays they had, while the Beavers, from Minot, went 3-6 in their power play opportunities.

"I like how we came around towards the end of the game, we just need to be ready. We'll put this game behind us and take advantage of the opportunity to test our team tomorrow (Saturday) and get back on the winning track," commented Heimel.

Argos play four more games at home starting this Saturday night against Minot State and will have three more contest next weekend taking on Utah State, BYU and Weber State before hitting the road to Minot, North Dakota on November 1, 2019.
