Great Falls, Mont. – The University of Providence men's ice hockey team rebounded from a tough loss Thursday night by defeating BYU 4-2 on Friday night.
Reed Link,
Josh Larson,
Levi Anderson and
Kyler Mack all scored goals for the Argos. Mack also had an assist, as did
Trevor Checketts,
Cody Hendrickson and
Jakob Stevenson.
"We definitely played better than we did yesterday," head coach
Jeff Heimel said. "The guys were excited and fired up to play tonight."
Though Heimel is pleased with the performance, he is still hoping for a more complete game on Saturday, when the Argos face off against Weber State at 7:30 p.m.
"We were closer to a full 60 minutes tonight than we were on Thursday," Heimdel said. "We need to continue to get better and judge our performances not on the score but rather to how good we know we can be. I still think we can have better energy and play a more complete game. We took a couple of shifts off tonight which allowed them to get back into it."
