Great Falls, Mont.- Alumni weekend has been good for the University of Providence Men's Hockey team as their season home opener saw the Argos beat the Williston State Tetons 6-4 on Friday Night.
Argos jumped out early scoring in the first period and never looked back. UP scored 2 in the first and picked up another in the second as they headed to the locker room with a 3-1 lead.
Scoring continued in the third and final period with each team pushing the puck into the net to eventually conclude the night with UP Argos skating away a 6-4 winner.
The game was a good one for the 6'0 Sophomore Trevor Checketts who knocked in two goals for the Argos. "I got a good pass, picked my shot, and hit it," said Trevor. When asked what it's like to have to come back in less then 24 hours and play this same team after the high emotions in this contest he said, "We just got to play the same game. The same thing we did tonight, we do again tomorrow,"
Other goals on Friday for the Argos went to Levi Anderson, Leo Felt, Cody Hendrickson and Jakob Stevenson.
 The Williston Tetons' Brendon Jay, Blake Zabinski, Thomas King and Wade Auger each scored one apiece.
The Argos will play their second game of the season, Saturday night at the Great Falls Ice Complex with the match starting at 7:05 PM.
