Argos Remain at the #2 Spot in National Rankings

TROY, Mich - In the latest American Collegiate Hockey Association ranking, the University of Providence remains at the #2 seed in the West Region.

At 10,800 points, the Argos trail only the University of Mary (13,316) in the poll. The Argos (14-6) hold small lead over Weber State (10,063), whom they have defeated twice so far this season.

"We are excited to head into our holiday break ranked #2," head coach Jeff Heimel said "The guys played well in the first half of the season and we have set ourselves up well to compete for a spot at Nationals this year."

The Argos are off for the holidays as they won't return to the ice until January 10th when they take on #1 seed University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota.

"We get a great opportunity after our break to take on the number one seed Mary to set the tone for the second half of the season," Heimel said. "It's going to be a lot of work but we are excited for the challenge."
