Argos #1 in Pre-Season Poll

FRONTIER VOLLEYBALL COACHES PICK PRESEASON FAVORITES
Great Falls, Mont., Aug. 5, 2019 — Defending conference tournament champion University of Providence received four of the seven first place votes and is the favorite of the Frontier Conference volleyball coaches to win the conference title for the 2019 season.
Providence edged defending regular season champion Rocky Mountain College by three points and garnished four first place votes. Rocky received the remaining three first place votes and is picked to finish second.
Montana Tech was picked to finish third followed by Carroll College, Lewis-Clark State, MSU-Northern and Montana Western.
Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams. First place was worth six points, second place worth five points, third place worth four points, fourth place worth three points, fifth place worth two points and sixth place worth one point.

Coach Arunas Duda, for the University of Providence is excited to be recognized by his peers, but is quick to say with his young team, with only three seniors returning he knows it's a long season. Coach Arunas commented, "It's my first time to be noticed by coaches in the Frontier Conference in the first-place position in this preseason poll. It shows how our program is growing and the hard work is paying off." Coach Arunas goes on to say, "This year will be tough, day in and day out, with the up and coming season, and we can not take any match lightly."
The preseason favorite, UP Argos, will kick off the 2019 season August 15th on the road in Havre with a noon match vs Medicine Hat College before heading to Butte for four matches starting August 23, 2019.
