Box Score Great Falls, Mont – The University of Providence women's volleyball came out victorious in a tightly-contested four set match against Benedictine University – Mesa. After dropping a heartbreaking third set after the Redhawks on match point, the Argos rebounded in the fourth set to win 3-1 (25-21, 25-20, 24-26, 25-21).

"They have a style of play that really matches up with ours," head coach Arunas Duda said. "Credit to them, they came in and battled. But our girls, I'm really proud. We pushed through at the end."

Senior Kelsey Shaver led the Argos with 20 kills. Ember Schmidt contributed nine kills, and led the team with a .368 hitting percentage.
"Ember was a Rockstar for us, especially down the stretch," Duda said.

Defensively, Cyndey Finberg-Roberts led the team with 20 assists, followed by Renae Davis with 18. The Argos had multiple players over 25 digs; Sacha Legros (27), Averi Dyer (26), and Kelsey Shaver (25). Ranae Davis also contributed 13 in front of a rambunctious crowd.

""It's great being at home," Duda said. "We've been on the road for a couple of weeks now. We're excited to play in front of our home crowd and they really helped us tonight."
The Argos will conclude their play at the University of Providence Fall Classic at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday in the McLaughlin Center against Medicine Hat College.
