GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence softball program announced the schedule for the 2021 season Friday morning.
The Argos will begin their season at home on Feb. 26 in a four-game series against Corban. They will play a four-game series every weekend, with one bye week in April, until the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament on May 7-9.
"We are excited to get our schedule out there and let our fans know that UP softball is still planning a full schedule this spring," head coach
Joey Egan said. "Our girls are more than ready to get back to campus and start playing the sport they love."
Because softball is played in the spring, the 2021 season is one of the only NAIA sports that isn't impacted by the flurry of schedule changes. However after only playing 12 games last season before the
season was cut short, Egan is preparing her team to be prepared for anything that could get thrown their way.
"I think at this point we prepare to be unprepared for certain situations," she said. "We can try to look forward and predict the future but the reality is, none of us know what the future holds. We have to be ready to fly by the seat of our pants, stay positive, and overcome any obstacles."
