Argos Fall on the Road to Bobcats

BOZEMAN, Mont. – The #2 University of Providence men's hockey team fell to Montana State 5-4 Friday night in Bozeman.

The Argos started up early off the goal from Leo Felt with 12:37 in the first period but Montana State responded with two goals in the second period. The Argos never led again.

"We had some defensive lapses but yet we were in the hockey game," head coach Jeff Heimel said. "It felt like we played pretty comfortable and then they would go up. It's almost like we had these spurts of 'now we have to do something'. I expected a little bit of that given the nature of the game, but you play to win and I think we can do better."

The Argos will have a chance to do better tomorrow against the Bobcats in Great Falls tomorrow night for the final game of the regular season before they head to Nationals. The game, which will feature a championship trophy and senior night presentation before the game, is scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m.

"Luckily we get another chance to respond tomorrow," Heimel said. "It's not an ideal schedule to go on the road for five weeks. But we won a conference championship and now we get a chance to celebrate that in front of our fans for the last game of the regular season. I'm excited for tomorrow night."
