GREAT FALLS, Mont. – The University of Providence men's hockey team fell to Montana State 5-4 Saturday evening.
"It was a similar game to last night," head coach
Jeff Heimel said. "I thought we played pretty good. We were down 5-3 and pulled a goalie with 4 minutes left and scored. We hit the posts in the last couple of minutes which would have given us a chance to tie it."
Despite the back to back losses, Heimel was pleased with the opportunity to get a pair of games in against a quality opponent before the National Tournament.
"We honestly played pretty good," Heimel said. "We made three or four mental errors and they capitalized on all of them. We got a chance to play some more hockey before Nationals so you can't be too upset."
The night also provided the fans to see the championship trophy during a brief presentation before the game. It was also the final home game for senior
Brendan Sedgwick, who was honored before the game as well.
The Argos won't take the ice again until Nationals, which begin March 20 in Plano, Texas.
